Names in the News: June 2013

Jacqueline Randall graduated from Rowan University on May 17 with a degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design. She will be working full time as a junior web designer in Delaware County, PA. Jacqueline graduated at the top of her graduating class. She worked for Alumni Publications on the campus for four years and the print lab for the Art department. She also worked for the Whit newspaper. Jacqueline is the nursery attendant at the Trinity Old Swedes church in Swedesboro where she has been a parishioner since 1994. She is the daughter of Jim and Lynne Randall of Logan Township, sister of Jonathan and Joanie, and a 2009 graduate of Kingsway Regional High School.

Amanda Viereck graduated from Seton Hall University with a B.S. in Biology. She earned Dean’s List and has also completed her first year of graduate studies towards a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant. Amanda will begin hospital rotations this Fall.
Skylar Galati, a Kingsway Regional Middle School student, will be performing Ave Maria in the Cumberland Players production of “A Night of Opera and Musical Theatre” held on June 2 at The Little Theater in Vineland. Galati is one of only five young women chosen to perform this number.

Pamela Fauntleroy of Swedesboro, returned to Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) to celebrate a milestone in her cancer journey—five years of cancer survivorship. Fauntleroy was honored at CTCA’s annual “Celebrate Life,” an event that commemorates the courage and tenacity of five-year cancer survivors and the examples of perseverance and hope that these survivors show to those battling the disease. Alongside other cancer survivors, current patients and their loved ones, Fauntleroy participated in several events, including a tree planting ceremony, whereby one tree was planted for each five-year survivor, and a dove release, where patients released several doves into the morning sky as a symbol of renewal. Celebrants also passed on commemorative lapel pins reading “HOPE” to patients currently undergoing treatment at CTCA as a reminder to stay upbeat and hopeful through their battle.

Madison Hawthorne, 12, of Woolwich Township was among 3 people honored as part of the 2013 Arthritis Walk. This event is the Arthritis Foundation’s annual nationwide event that raises awareness and funds to fight arthritis.
