SWEDESBORO — The winner of the first annual Greater Swedesboro Business Association $1,000 scholarship is Kingsway graduate, Sawyer Galati.
Area students were given the challenge of explaining “The Importance of Small Business in the Community” and Galati rose to the occasion by providing the most compelling essay. “I am really proud to win this scholarship. One day I want to own a catering business and this will help me getting started with my education at the Atlantic County Community College for Culinary Arts,” said Galati.
In its 55 years as a Business Association, this is the first year the GSBA offered the scholarship and it plans to continue the program for years to come. “We wanted to give back to the community. What better way than to help a worthy student get started in his education?” said Scholarship Committee Chairman, Rosario Licciardello.
