WOOLWICH TWP. — Don’t miss the DAY of WELLNESS scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5.
Begin the morning with a 9 a.m. run from Kingsway High School (registration 8 a.m.) or a 9:30 a.m. walk from the Walter Hill School (registration 8:30 a.m). The walk/run will finish at the Harker School on Oldmans Creek Road in Woolwich-just in time for the Health, Wellness and Safety Fair.
Wellshire Farms will make a donation from proceeds to the Greater Philadelphia Cancer Transportation Fund/ Barbara A. Colameco Transportation Fund.
The 2013 Swedesboro Woolwich Health, Wellness and Safety Family Fun Fair is sponsored by the Swedesboro Woolwich Parks and Recreation Committee along with Wellshire Farms . This educational event is designed to be fun and interactive with something for all ages. Hands-on educational games or demonstrations and screenings along with health, wellness or safety related give-aways will be part of the day.
Begin with a Woolwich Township Police Department Bike Rodeo at 11 a.m. All are welcome to bring bikes for safety checks, and learn about road and helmet safety.
The Woolwich Fire Department will provide a Smoke House for Fire Safety instruction along with other fire prevention tips. Little ones may bring a teddy bear for a clinic.
Gloucester County EMS will have interactive resuscitation dummies on hand. Seniors, don’t miss brain exercises and screenings with local physicians.
