Family Make & Take Holiday Craft – Saturday, Dec. 21. Stop in anytime between 11–12:30 p.m. Supplies and assistance will be provided to make a holiday ornament. Please register.

Kids & Teens Gift Wrapping- Saturday, Dec. 21, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Bring in your presents to wrap; we will supply the paper, bows and tape.

SWEDESBORO LIBRARY EVENTS

Adult Computer Classes: Email Basics – Monday, Dec. 9, 7 p.m.

“Caring and Sharing with Seniors” – Dec. 13, 11 a.m. Caring and Sharing is a fun time of social activities: puzzles, games, music, crafts, bingo, and more!  We will meet on the 2nd Friday of each month from 11-12 p.m. Call 856-467-0111 for more information.

Adult Book Club – The adult book club does not meet in the month of December.  They will resume meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014. This club meets the last Tuesday of each month. January’s selection will be Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.

Make a Personalized Book Lamp (Adult craft) – Tuesday, Dec.  3, 6:30 p.m. Unleash your creativity decoupaging your own personalized lamp shade to compliment a book based lamp. The lamp bases are made from recycled books.

Amazing Math Labs (STEM) – Thursday, Dec. 5, 7 p.m. – 4th through 6th graders are invited to a once-a month meeting to enjoy fun math activities.

PAWS for Reading – Register your child to read to a trained therapy dog for a 15 minute time slot. This month’s dates will be Monday, Dec. 16, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Please register by calling 467-0111 or at the library.  Permission slips are required.

Teen/Tween Drawing Club – Wednesday, Dec. 11, 4:30 p.m. We meet once a month on the second Wednesdays of each month. If you’re committed to attending for 8 months of learning and drawing, and fun art projects, please register at www.gcls.org or call 856-467-1693. Space is limited!

Teen/Tween Book Club – Thursday, Dec. 12, 7 p.m. Our teen/tween book club meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. December’s selection will be Max by James Patterson.

Teen/Tween Gaming – Join us Thursday, Dec. 19, 6:30 pm, for the Xbox, Wii, DS’s, and traditional board and card games. Bring a friend and have a great time!

Teen/Tween Writers’ Club – If you love writing, need new ideas, like sharing ideas/stories/poems, and/or learning new writing techniques and types of writing – this club is for you. Our new meeting date will be the 2nd Mondays of each month. We will meet on Monday, Dec. 9, 4:30 p.m.

Teen Advisory Board – Join our Teen Advisory Board.  Be a Reading Buddy, work with children, learn library skills, or help plan teen activities.  Do you enjoy writing? Write reviews and/or create quarterly teen newsletters.  Call 467-0111 for information on how you can volunteer or become an active member.

Story Time – Story Time is a fun time!  We meet on Tuesday

mornings at 10:30 a.m. (Dec. 10, 17, & 31). Story Time is best suited for children ages 2-1/2 to 5 years of age. Registration required.

Little Yogis – There will be no Little Yogis in December.

Afternoon Story TimeWednesday afternoons at 1 p.m. December’s dates are Dec. 11 & 18 – Library meeting Room. Registration required.

Baby Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Bring your baby to a fun time of music – familiar songs, activities and fingerplays.  Baby Time will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5 & 19, 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Toddler Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Your toddler will enjoy a fun time marching, playing instruments, and singing familiar songs and fingerplays. This month’s date is Thursday, Dec. 12, 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Homework and Reading Buddies – Children interested in a homework or reading buddy during the 2012-2013 school year should contact the library at 467-0111. Teens from our Teen Advisory Board assist younger children with homework and help them with different academic skills.
