WOOLWICH TWP. — The Swedesboro-Woolwich community is a unique area, in that many of us are transplants from other places. Many of us migrated here because the area is known to be up and coming, with great schools and a sense of community.
“When I first moved here seven years ago,” said Lisa Tarquinio. “I saw the potential of this area and became very excited.”
Right before relocating to the area, Tarquinio said she went to Swedesboro Day to check out the town at its finest. There she met a woman sitting at a booth discussing the MOMS Club.
“Being that I was a stay-at-home mother to a one year old, this was very intriguing. She gave me a sample calendar with all kinds of activities that were kid friendly and even some Mom-time programs that seemed like a lot of fun including Cooking group and a fitness group.”
After settling into our new home, Tarquinio quickly got involved, and the first activity was a fitness group. “There I met two wonderful ladies who later have become two wonderful friends. I slowly began meeting everyone in the group, and each and every one was just as inviting and kind as the next.”
She now has three children and they too have made some lasting friendships for years to come. They go to school together and play together.
“The MOMS Club has been a true blessing to me in creating a new sense of family, because we rely on each other. We are there when you are sick; we are there to laugh with and to listen to you,” she added.
If you are looking for activities to do with your children, and looking for some adult conversation, you are invited to check them out. They will be having a Valentine’s Day Party for the children on Valentine’s Day at 10 a.m. and will look forward to having everyone join them.
