Local Resident Warms the Heart for the Needy

SWEDESBORO — First Baptist Church of Swedesboro was quite elated to have a local resident from Swedesboro contact them in January about receiving coat donations through the national recognized non-profit organization One Warm Coat.

Merideth Cassaday, a resident of Swedesboro, not only had a successful coat drive but she exceeded the church’s expectations in collecting 140 new and gently worn outerwear for toddlers to adults. The coats will be distributed through the church’s Missionary and Making A Difference Mentor ministries to individuals, families, schools and local churches in Gloucester and Salem Counties.

This was the second major coat donation given to First Baptist Church of Swedesboro  in the past two years by way of One Warm Coat local organizers. Reverend Frank Jones, Jr. is senior pastor at First Baptist Church of Swedesboro.
