Friends Village announces April events

UntitledWOODSTOWN — Spring is blooming at Friends Village. Attend an open house event on April 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. or other special health program this month.

Enjoy a tour of the Friends Village campus during the Open House. Bring your questions and join us at an informal gathering, to learn everything you ever wanted to know about Friends Village at Woodstown. Drop in, meet our residents and staff, and tour the campus for the full picture of retirement living in Woodstown.

The Open House will be held in the Model Cottage, 946 Woodbury Court, on the Friends Village campus. All attendees will receive a special gift for attending. Please respond by calling 856-823-0778.

“Conversations About Dementia: Tips to Help with Family Conversations” is scheduled for Thursday, April 17 starting at 6:30 p.m. The program will offer tips on how to have honest and caring conversations with family members about going to the doctor; deciding when to stop driving; and making legal and financial plans.

This special seminar will be presented by the Alzheimer’s Association and held in the Fenwick auditorium at Friends Village. It is offered free of charge, but reservations are requested. Call the Alzheimer’s Association at 800-272-3900.

Friends Village at Woodstown is a full service, non-profit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) serving the Delaware Valley that offers independent living, assisted living, rehabilitation and skilled nursing services to adults ages 62 and up. Guided by time honored Quaker values, the organization was founded in 1897 and has been operating as a CCRC since 2005.
