SWEDESBORO — Spring has finally arrived in South Jersey. On May 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the town will be abuzz with activity as people of all ages attend the eighth Annual Outdoor Living & Garden Show .
The Outdoor Living and Garden Show is shaping up for its best year yet with a variety of outdoor living activities that will educate and entertain the whole family. Admission for the event, as always, is free.
Vendors will be displaying a variety of items from homemade outdoor furniture, plants, lawn mowers, garden art made from recycled items to fresh produce from our local farmers. For the adults there will be educational talks given by the Master Gardners.
Enjoy a wine tasting from a few of our local wineries as you listen to live music on the porch of Tavro 13.
This year’s event will be held on Kings Highway between Franklin and Church Streets, and will feature plenty of great free activities for kids both educational and fun. They will have the opportunity to make a keepsake box from a cigar box that was donated by the Cigar Vault., or make a shell wind chime, or make a jump rope.
MacKensie Hall from the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ will talk about the importance of bats from 11 to 11:30 and from 12:00 to 12:30. Todd Marcus Exotic Birds will also be at the show displaying some of his beautiful birds.
