WOOLWICH TWP. — Get ready for another spectacular event hosted by the Swedesboro Woolwich Parks and Recreation Committee. The Annual Locke Avenue FUN DAY is scheduled for Saturday, May 31from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a raindate of Sunday, June 1.
This all-day carnival promises to offer entertainment for the entire family with a stellar fireworks display at 9 p.m. to conclude the festivities.
Due to popular demand, we are extending the Unlimited Ride Wristbands deal. For $25 you will receive a wristband guaranteed to help the wearer sleep well that night. With a wristband, you can enjoy unlimited rides and bounces all day, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The fun will include numerous mechanical rides and multiple bounces: Tree House Slide, Bounce Climb N Slide, Carousel Bounce House, Trackless Train, Under the Sea Adventure, Rock Climbing Wall, Ocean Adventure, Swing Ride, Eurobungy, Tub Of Fun (spinning cups), Kartwheel, Space Race Obstacle Course, Air Plane Ride, Mickey Play Center and more.
The mechanical rides are good for adults as well as kids. There will be something for everyone. Additionally, included with a wristband will be Horse & Pony Rides by Licciardello Farms (1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and our spectacular Petting Zoo with a donkey, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and a rabbit from Happy Trails 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. One free game from our Game Tent with a guaranteed winner-every-time prize is also included.
The wristbands are available by cash or check from the Woolwich Township Municipal Building (Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 120 Village Green Drive, Woolwich. They are also available by credit card from the Sweetsboro Pastry Shoppe, 1302 Kings Highway, Swedesboro (Monday-Saturday 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday 6:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. But hurry, this offer now ends May 15.
Constant entertainment is scheduled on our Main Stage and Amphitheater throughout the day. The Main Stage will feature: Blame the Kids (2 p.m.), TK & the Howlers (3:30 p.m.), The Reverb Brothers (5:30 p.m.), and Back Creek (7:45 p.m.).
The Amphitheater Schedule will include: VFW Post 10886 Veterans’ Tribute (1 p.m.), Harker 5th Grade Chorus (1:30 p.m.), Hill 6th Grade Chorus (1:45 p.m.), 2nd Grade Drama Club (2 p.m.), Swedesboro Woolwich Little Theater (2:30 p.m.), Yi’s Karate (3:15 p.m.), Swedesboro-Woolwich Local Talent Show (3:30 p.m.), Dance Artistry Center (4 p.m.), Bollywood Dancing (4:30 p.m.), FURever as Friends-Cutest and Most Talented Dog Contest (5 p.m.), Chapter Four (6 p.m.) and Swedesboro Performing Arts Academy (7 p.m.).The Great Randini will be our DJ at the Amphitheater.
Calling ALL Veterans. Please join us at 1 p.m. for our Patriotic Veterans’ Tribute at the Amphitheater. Let’s kick off Fun Day by honoring those who defend our great country.
New this year with our tribute: a Patriotic Hat contest. Decorate and wear a hat that has a USA Patriotic theme and show off your red, white and blue creation.
You may even win a prize. There will be flags to celebrate all things American so show your spirit and sing along to patriotic songs.

Get energized dancing to Bollywood tunes at our Color Me Bollywood Workshop. Color available by tickets or purchase between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Let local vendors dazzle you with deals. Non-stop delicious food from local restaurants will be available for your convenience. Relax in the shade under our food tent and listen to music; what a great way to spend an afternoon.
