Recycled Wreath Craft – Make an antique book page wreath from recycled books– Tuesday, May 20, 6:30-8 p.m. Space is limited so please register for this adult/teen program. Go to www.gcls.org or call 856-467-0111.

“Caring and Sharing with Seniors” – Friday, May 9, 11 a.m. Caring and Sharing is a fun time of social activities:  puzzles, games, music, crafts, bingo, and more! We will meet on the second Friday of each month from 11-12 pm. Call 856-467-0111 for more information.

Adult Book Club – The adult book club will meet on Tuesday, May 27,  at 7 p.m. Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month. May’s selection will be Mockingbird by Charles J. Shields.

Teen/Tween Drawing Club – Wednesday, May 14, 4:30 p.m. We meet once a month on the second Wednesdays of each month. If you’re committed to attending for eight sessions of learning and drawing, and fun art projects, please register at www.gcls.org or call 856-467-1693.  Space is limited.

Teen/Tween Book ClubThursday, May 8, 7 p.m. Our teen/tween book club meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. May’s selection will be 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher.

Teen/Tween Gaming – Join us Thursday, May 29, 6:30 p.m. (note that this is a fifth Thursday rather than the usual third) for the Xbox, Wii, DS’s, and traditional board and card games. Bring a friend and have a great time!

Teen/Tween Writers’ Club – If you love writing, need new ideas, like sharing ideas/stories/poems, and/or learning new writing techniques and types of writing – this club is for you. Writer’s meets on the second Mondays of each month. We will meet on Monday, May 12, 4:30 p.m.

Teen Advisory Board – Join our Teen Advisory Board.  Be a Reading Buddy, work with children, learn library skills, or help plan teen activities. Do you enjoy writing? Write reviews and/or create quarterly teen newsletters. Call 467-0111 for information on how you can volunteer or become an active member.

Amazing Math Labs (STEM) – Thursday, May 1, 7 p.m – 4th through 6th graders are invited to a once-a month meeting to enjoy fun math activities.

FURever As Friends – Register your child to read to a trained therapy dog for a 15 minute time slot – This month’s dates will be Mondays, May 5 & 19 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Please register by calling 467-0111 or at the library. Permission slips are required.

Story Time – Story Time is a fun time! We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. (Tuesdays, May 6, 13, 20, & 27). Story Time is best suited for children ages 2-1/2 to 5 years of age. Registration required.

Baby Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Bring your baby to a fun time of music – familiar songs, activities and fingerplays. Baby Time will be held on Thursdays, May 1 & 29, 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Toddler Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Your toddler will enjoy a fun time marching, playing instruments, learning fingerplays, and singing familiar songs. This month’s dates are Thursdays, May 8 & 22, 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Homework and Reading Buddies – The Reading Buddy Literacy Program provides one-on-one assistance to children for help with learning English, help with phonics and reading skills, and help with Math and Language Arts. Children interested in having a reading buddy during the 2013-2014 school year should contact the library at 467-0111. Teens interested in being a reading buddy should also contact the library.
