logan policeJuly 9: Investigators charged a 44 year old Buena woman with theft by deception, forgery, theft by unlawful taking, computer related theft and wrongful impersonation following an investigation at a business on Pedricktown Road. The woman had been embezzling monies in excess of $115,000 from her employer over the past nine months. She was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of $75,000 full cash bail.

July 9: Police, while investigating an illegal dumping complaint on Rt. 130, arrested two Camden County men for dumping various materials along the highway and outstanding warrants. They were processed and released pending court.

July 10: Officers arrested a 34 year old Bridgeton man on an outstanding contempt of court warrant (FRO) following a Rt. 130 motor vehicle stop. The man was turned over to NJSP-Woodstown for processing.

July 10: Police investigated an identity theft complaint in which various documents were forged for potential financial gain. A suspect has been identified and complaints are pending additional information.

July 11: A Bridgeport man reported that someone attempted to burglarize his home by forcing open a first floor window. The incident occurred sometime over the past two weeks. The window was damaged, but nothing was reported missing or stolen.

July 12: Officers charged two men with soliciting without a permit following complaints received in the Eagle Farms development. The men, soliciting roof repair work, were issued local ordinance complaints and advised to vacate the area pending proper permits.

July 12: A 25 year old Mullica Hill man was charged with trespassing and multiple motor vehicle complaints following an investigation at a business on High Hill Road.

July 12: Officers charged a 38 year old Camden man with burglary, criminal attempt-theft, and criminal mischief following an investigation at a business on Sharptown Road. The accused, William Bard, is a former employee who forced entry into the building, and was in the process of loading 50 lb. bags of sugar into an SUV when observed by another employee. The man and an accomplice then fled the area on foot prior to police arrival. A $15,000 warrant has been issued for Bard’s arrest.

July 13: Police investigated a hit and run MVC on Rt. 130 in which various state highway property was damaged and the involved vehicle, a Lincoln Navigator, was left abandoned near High Hill Road. Complaints are pending driver identification.

July 13: A 57 year old Chester, Pa. man and a 51 year old Lindenwold woman were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a Rt. 130 motor vehicle stop. They were processed and released pending court.

July 14: Investigators charged five area residents, four men and a woman, with burglary and theft offenses following an investigation into two residential burglaries that occurred in May. The following were charged: 21 year old Derick Sellars of Swedesboro, 19 year old Erica Smith of Logan, 19 year old Eduardo Gonzales of Salem, 21 year old Tito Cruz of Woolwich and 18 year old Devin Wood of Swedesboro. Gonzales ($75,000) and Wood ($10,000) were lodged in the Salem County Jail in default of full cash bail, while the others were processed and released on complaint summons.
