SWEDESBORO — Salem County resident Jack Pfizenmayer was named as the Swedesboro-Woolwich School district Business Administrator when the Board of Education met on Aug. 13. Pfizenmayer attended the Air Force Academy prep school on a basketball scholarship before graduating from Allegheny College with a degree in Political Science.
He later gained teaching certification at Millersville University before pursuing a master’s degree and certification as a school business administrator, Principal, and Superintendent at Glassboro State College. A former history teacher in the Washington Township School District, Pfizenmayer went on to serve in a variety of administrative capacities in the Lower Township Regional School District for 25 years. In Lower Township he served as a vice principal, Business Administrator/Board Secretary, and Superintendent of Schools before retiring in 2012.
Pfizenmayer has coached basketball at the college level at both Allegheny College and Millersville University, and has coached high school basketball, football, and tennis. He and his wife Joanne reside in Pittsgrove Township, and are the parents of three children.
