GIBBSTOWN – As part of the Paulsboro/Gibbstown Food Bank Drive, Gibbstown Chiropractic Center PA will hold a special event, “Community Appreciation Day” on Nov. 22 and will once again be providing health services at no charge exchange for non-perishable food items. This is the doctor’s 26th year of getting donations for the Food Bank Drive which will take place during the week of Nov.16 to Nov. 23.
Dr. Blaise K. Glodowski, of Gibbstown Chiropractic Center PA, will offer all services including stress examinations, life extension evaluations, physical exams, and x-rays (if needed) at no charge at his office located at 360 E. Broad Street in Gibbstown.
The Food Bank asks patrons instead to bring donations of non-perishable food items. The normal fees for the medical services would normally range from $35-$435.
This year Glodowski will be helped by a massage therapist, and by Betty-Jo Zeno, a level 2 Reiki instructor, who will also be providing free massages and natural healing services at his office that day as well. Inspira healthcare will be doing blood pressure screenings and LA Fitness will be on hand as well.
Each person who comes in will be eligible to win door prizes and gift certificates donated by area sponsors. Refreshments will also be served as well.
Glodowski said his personal goal is to donate over $5,000 in services that day.
“It’s a great day. People come out and get the medical care they need, the Food Bank gets the food they need for the needy and just about everyone gets some sort of door prize or certificate. So it’s a win-win for everyone involved”, stated Glodowski.
“The best part is that we will raise enough food to help the Food Bank get through the toughest time of year. The holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas. I became a doctor to help people so whether it’s helping them with their health at my office or getting food on their table, that’s what motivates me. I look forward to this event every year and so does my staff”, said Dr. Glodowski.

The top 10 need of the Food Bank are: Peanut butter and Jelly, pasta, spaghetti sauce, pancake mix, syrup, cereal, canned meats, tuna, juice, and canned stews.
