Candle Light Shopping and House Tour in Mullica Hill

00157405.inddMULLICA HILL — The holiday season is the best time to visit Mullica Hill. Skip the big box store and step back in time for an old fashioned holiday experience.

Enjoy Candle Light Shopping on Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mullica Hill will be decorated in holiday splendor, shops will be filled to the brim with Christmas goodies, and everyone is full of Christmas cheer.

Candles, wreathes, books, holiday decor, antiques, kids gifts and more can be found on Main Street. The town will be lit with 500 candles on the street, and shops will feature open house specials. Live music, carolers, strollers dressed in period costumes and more.

If you can’t visit town that day, come out Dec. 13 for the 40th annual Christmas House Tour. Homes, churches and historic buildings will be open for the tour. Homes on and off Main open their doors and invite you in.

Several houses never on tour before have joined up this year. Stop by the Lippincott House, whose family has owned since it was built in the 1700’s and has family roots that tie back to the May Flower or an early 1700’s Salt Box just outside town.

Visit a mini village built on an old farm. Kids will be able to pet and feed the animals. You can enjoy choir singing at St. Stephen’s Church with refreshments to follow. Bring the kids to see Santa or check out Gingerbread house contest in all the shops and vote for your favorite.

Shop for the perfect gift for that special someone and enjoy a great lunch or an even better dinner in one of the restaurants.
