MT ROYAL — Botto’s Italian Sausage hosted a casual luncheon to honor their 50th anniversary and grand opening of their new offices and plant expansion on April 16 at their new facility on Kings Highway in Mt. Royal.
C.W. Brown & Company was founded in 1887 on the same site that it is operating on today, making it one of the oldest operating sausage plants in the country. Robert Botto, Sr. purchased the company back in 1965 and not only kept the name, but also the same quality product, which many consider to be the best sausage in the world.
He and his wife, Catherine, helped to establish the Botto’s brand name as a leader in the industry. Since then the Botto’s have had tremendous growth and expansion and today they also own and operate Botto’s Italian Line Restaurant, and Botto’s Italian Market, in Swedesboro.
In 2007 Robert Sr. passed away. However his legacy lives on as today the business is run by his four sons, Vince, Robert Jr., Domenic and Enrico. Catherine is still a large part of the business also, continuing to cook and make homemade delicacies that are considered some of the best in the region. Because of this hard work and commitment, the Botto’s brand name continues to be the best in the industry.
