Soul Line Dancing – Wednesdays – July 8, 15, 22, & 29 – 6:30 p.m. Learn how to Soul Line dance, get some exercise, and have fun at the same time! Please register as space is limited.

Summer Reading Programs:

Family Movie – Tuesday, July 7 – 2 p.m. Join us for Turner and Hooch – rated PG. Enjoy this comedy featuring a very odd couple! Bring a friend and bring your own snack.

Storyteller Laura Kaighn – Thursday, July 9 – 7 p.m. This interactive program will entertain you with stories about heroes as far back as the Greeks and including some Geeks! Please register.

Storyteller Mr. Malcolm – Monday, July 13 – 2 p.m. Don’t miss this fun, interactive program. Mr. Malcolm and his Superhero Show! Mr. Malcolm will leave you in stitches! Please register.

Family Movie – Tuesday, July 14 – 2 p.m. Join us for The Incredibles! Rated PG. Bring a friend and bring your own snack.

Local heroes – Woolwich Firefighter! – Tuesday, July 21 – 2 p.m. Join us for this educational, interactive, and informative program.

Create your own superhero comics – Thursday, July 23 – 7 p.m. Please register as space is limited.

“Every Kid is a Hero!”  – Monday, July 27 – 2 p.m. Create your own superhero! Space is limited. Please register.

Local Heroes:  Patrolman Haas & his K-9 – Hunter – Tuesday, July 28 – 2 p.m. Find out what our local heroes do each day! Space is limited. Please register.

American Swedish Museum – Thursday, July 30 – 7 p.m. Best suited for children in 1st through 6th grade. Join us for this interactive, hands-on program. Find out about Vikings and Norseman heroes. Please register as space is limited.

Tween/Teens:

Teen Summer Reading:  Play a quiz game to find out what you know about Superheroes! – Wednesday, July 8 – 4 p.m.

Teen Summer Reading:  Superhero scavenger hunt – Wednesday, July 15 – 4 p.m. Prizes awarded to winners!

Teen/Tween Gaming – Join us Thursday, July 16 – 6:30 p.m. Play Xbox, Wii, DS’s, and traditional board and card games. Bring a friend and have a great time!

Teen Summer Reading:  Draw your own comics – Wednesday, July 22 – 4 p.m.

Teen Summer Reading:  Create your own Superhero! – Wednesday, July 29 – 4 p.m. Please register – limited space.

Teen Advisory Board – We welcome teens to join our Teen Advisory Board. Be a Literacy Buddy and work with children, learn library skills, or help plan teen activities. Do you enjoy writing? Learn to write reviews and create a quarterly teen newsletter. Call 467-0111 for information on how you can volunteer or become an active member.

Children:

FURever As Friends – Register your child to read to a trained therapy dog for a 15 minute time slot – This month’s date will be Monday, July 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Please register by calling 467-0111 or at the library. Permission slips are required.

Toddlers & Babies:

Please register for all programs – space is limited.

Tuesday Story Time – Story Time is a fun time! We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. (Tuesdays, July 7, 14, 21, 28). Story Time is best suited for children ages 2-1/2 to 5 years of age. Registration required.

Wednesday Story TimeWednesday morning story time meets at 10:30 a.m. July’s dates are July 1, 8, 15, & 29 – Library meeting Room. Registration required.

Baby Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Bring your baby to a fun time of music – familiar songs, activities and fingerplays. Baby Time will be held on Thursdays, July 2 & 16 – 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Toddler Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Your toddler will enjoy a fun time marching, playing instruments, learning fingerplays, and singing familiar songs. This month’s date are Thursdays, July 9 & 23 – 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Literacy Buddies – The Literacy Program provides one-on-one assistance to children learning English, phonics and reading skills, and  math and Language Arts. Children interested in having a literacy buddy during the 2013-2014 school year should contact the library at 467-0111. Teens interested in being a literacy buddy, please contact the library.
