DiPAOLO — Rocco DiPaolo, of Woolwich Twp., died on Oct. 22. Age 79. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Badame). Loving father of Dane (Lisa Temple) and Doug (Teresa). Cherished grandfather of Nichole, Gabrielle, Dane and Micaela. He will also be missed by his granddogs Cali, Lord Stanley and Bob. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

MOLLET — Elizabeth H. Mollet, 95. She was a wholesome down to earth woman: much of Betty’s life revolved around the land. Raised on her family farm in Auburn, she’d marry a farmer. Together they’d work the land until the farm was sold. Betty loved all animals, but especially her goats and chickens. It was said that her nature could calm the most ferocious of dogs. Her meals were a daily feast befit a king: it always included one of her daily baked cakes and pies. About the only time she wasn’t found working was during her daily dose of The Young and the Restless. She even got her son addicted to watching it.
She was the wife of the late, Franklin and is survived by a son, Frank (Marcy). Interment Lake Park Cemetery, Woolwich.

SHARP – Dr., Martin W. Sharp, 74, of Mullica Hill, passed away Oct. 28 after being seriously ill for the past several months. Dr. Sharp was born in Vineland and has resided in Mullica Hill for the past 28 years. He was the son of the late Catherine Sharp (Casazza). He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Carol A. (nee Castellini), Sisters-in-law JoAnn (Rich) Watson, Donna L. Castellini, Brenda (Tom) Collins, nephew Zachary and nieces Megan and Chelsea.
Dr. Sharp received his BA and MA degrees from Rowan University and his doctorate from the Pennsylvania State University. He was a professor at the Pennsylvania State University for 32 years. After retiring he continued in the field of education at Cabrini College, Rowan University and Drexel University. He had unique gift for mentoring students and was always available to them.
Martin was a Renaissance man who loved history, art, cooking, gardening, and the beach. He was an avid collector of antiques and presidential memorabilia. He was so sweet, kind and giving. He will be sorely missed.

COLEY — Rosemary Coley (nee Gaines), 60, of Ellicott City, MD formerly of Mickleton, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct. 29 after a brave two year battle with uterine cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Lloyd Gaines Sr. and Doris Eva Ganies (Ruffin), and one brother Aslaam Abdul-Qaadir (Craig Gaines). She is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years Barry Coley, two sons Joel (Larissa) and Jordan (Heather); her brothers Thomas Gaines Jr. (Caroline), Robert Gaines Sr. (Charlotte), Sandy Gaines (Julienne), Kevin Gaines Sr. (Phyllis); father-in-law Bishop Roosevelt Coley, a sister in law Sana Abdul-Qaadir, and a host of other sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

GRASSO –– Joseph Grasso age 79, of Logan Township passed away Monday, Nov. 2. Joseph was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a graduate of Paulsboro High School Class of 1953 and was previously employed as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver.
Joseph enjoyed spending his time with his family, caring for his home, traveling, and he enjoyed photography. He had been a Logan Township resident for the past 48 years, and was a member of the Seniors Clubs in Logan and Gibbstown. Husband for over 55 years of Sonia (nee Gerelli), also survived by son Joseph Grasso, daughter Wendy Topeka and her husband Wesley, two grandchildren Rebecca and Matthew, and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

BAY — Charles C. Bay, of Mickleton, aged 67 years; peacefully passed away on Nov. 10 with his loving family by his side. Born in Philadelphia, Chuck was raised in the Oak Valley section of Deptford. He graduated from Clearview High School and Glassboro State College. Chuck served in United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the National Service Defense Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; Valorous Unit Award; Good Conduct Medal and Expert Badge Rifle M-16. After his service time, Chuck worked for the United States Postal Service before joining the Deptford Police Department where he served for 25 years and retired as Detective/Sergeant of the force. Away from his work, Chuck enjoyed golfing, fishing, spending time at the beach and cheering on his beloved Phillies & Eagles. He was an accomplished black belt in karate and will be remembered as a man who enjoyed life to the fullest. Chuck will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

COLEN — Carol B. Colen, 90, of Swedesboro, passed away on Nov. 11. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the middle daughter of Adelbert J. and Hazel M. Beyer. She attended Lutheran High School in Milwaukee and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a degree in Dietetics and Institutional Management. She became variously employed at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, ATT of Southeastern Pennsylvania and Chase Econometrics in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. She and her former husband made their home in West Mt. Airy, Philadelphia, and had three sons there, Rodney, Gregory and James. Her primary interests were in duplicate bridge, genealogy, reading, and extensive travel. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion, the Mayflower Society, the Cambridge Society of Who’s Who, and the Red Hat Society. She was a volunteer docent with the National Historical Park Service.
She is survived by her sons, Rodney and his wife Kirsten and family of Reston, Virginia, Gregory and his wife Amy and family of Morganville, New Jersey, James and his wife Lisa and family of Cooper City, Florida; eight grandchildren, Matthew, Stephanie, Christopher, Jonathan, Thomas, Michael, Gabriel and Benjamin; two sisters, Audrey B. Jones and family of Corpus Christi, Texas and Janet Nobiling and family of San Antonio, Texas in addition to many loving relatives and friends.

O’LEARY — Lillian O’Leary (nee Heuschkel) age 87 years of Clarksboro, died Nov. 16 in her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. O’Leary was born in Philadelphia and went to Germany with her Mother in 1938 and they were forced to stay there with family because of war conditions. She returned after World War II and married in 1951, settling in Clarksboro. Mrs. O’Leary was a member of Holy Angels Parish, Woodbury and previously St. John’s Church in Paulsboro. She was a homemaker and devoted mother who liked to make ceramics and cook for her family and for the family celebrations. She was well known for her beautifully decorated bay window for all the holidays. Her german potato salad will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas O’Leary Sr.; her children, Lillian and Paul McCairns, Liz O’Leary, Robert O’Leary, Joseph O’Leary and Mark O’Leary, all of Clarksboro; her grandchildren, Ann Marie and William Glenn and her great grandchildren, Sean, Liam, Grace and Ryan. CANZANESE — Rita C. Canzanese, 89, of Mullica Hill, passed away Nov. 20. She was born in Philadelphia, and resided in Swedesboro before moving to Mullica Hill. She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish. A hard working woman with many talents, she worked on the family farm, was a seamstress, worked at Murphy’s Farm Market on Route 322 in Woolwich Twp., Durkee Foods in West Deptford and Sanitary Baking Co. in Swedesboro. She enjoyed spending time with her family, loved classical music, cooking and baking for the family and cream puffs and pizzelles were her specialty.
Wife of the late Edward Canzanese Sr. (1995) she is survived by her sons, Remo and Edward and his wife Susan, three grandchildren, Kathy and Gary Hart, Andrew Canzanese and Lauren and Rob Hrapczynski. BLOEMKER — Eleanor M. Bloemker (nee Henderson) of Mullica Hill, formerly of Deptford, died on Nov. 20,. Age 85. Wife of the late Joseph H. Bloemker. Loving mother of Debra A. Morlachetta (Pasquale) of Mullica Hill and Cheryl A. Bestafka (Bruce) of Turnersville. Aunt of Robert Henderson (Gloria) of Gloucester Twp.
