Kingsway Marching Band Wins USBands Championship

WOOLWICH TWP. – The Kingsway Regional High School Marching Band came in first place at Delaware State University for the USBands Group 2A National Championships. They also won the captions of Best Overall Effect, Best Music and Best Percussion.

The band won with a score of 97.1, the highest score Kingsway Regional has ever received. The Dragons were one of 19 bands from the surrounding states (NJ, PA, MD, VA, CT, MA, NY), most of which were top scoring bands in their respective states.

Becoming National Champions was the culmination of the hard work and dedication of the students . The accomplishment of their  award-winning season include:

* Absegami High School – 1st Place, winning Best Music, Best Overall Effect, Best Percussion, Best Visual

* Williamstown High School – 1st Place, winning Best Music and Best Overall Effect

* Lenape High School – 1st Place, winning Best Music, Best Overall Effect and Best Visual

* Robbinsville High School – 1st Place, winning Best Color Guard, Best Music, Best Overall Effect, Best Percussion, Best Visual

* USBands Group 2A NJ State Championships – Silver Medalist, winning Best Percussion

* USBands Preview of National Championships – 1st Place, winning Best Color Guard, Best Music, Best Overall Effect, Best Percussion, Best Visual
