logan policeOct. 19: Police charged a 23 year old Boca Raton, FL man with possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic needle and various motor vehicle violations following a crash investigation on Rt. 322. He was processed and released pending court.

Oct. 19: A Swedesboro woman reported that her purse was stolen when it was left unattended while at the Wendy’s on Village Center Drive. The purse was later located on Shady Brook Drive and returned to its owner. Twenty dollars was removed from within.

Oct. 19: The operator of a rental truck requested $50 worth of diesel fuel from the Wawa on Center Square Road and fled without making payment. Officers are working with the rental company to identify the person responsible.

Oct. 19: Police charged a 22 year old Philadelphia man with DWI and related offenses following a crash investigation on High Hill Road. He was processed and released pending court.

Oct. 20: A Robins Run West resident reported an attempted burglary that occurred sometime over the weekend. The perpetrators attempted to force open a side door, but were unsuccessful.

Oct. 21: A Penns Grove woman reported that she was assaulted by a co-worker while working at a business on Pedricktown Road. The involved parties were advised to seek relief through the citizen complaint procedure

Oct. 22: Officers investigated a trespassing and property damage complaint on High Hill Road.

Oct. 22: A Hancock Street resident reported that his home was burglarized and various power tools were stolen from within. A Craftsman snow blower, a grinder and a DeWalt reciprocating saw were stolen from the victim’s garage. Police have identified a person of interest and complaints are pending.

Oct. 22: A Shady Brook resident reported that her home was burglarized sometime over the past week and various power tools, antiques and lithographs were stolen from within. Entry was gained by forcing open the rear slider.

Oct. 26: Police charged a 45 year old West Deptford man with DWI following a multi vehicle crash on Center Square Road at Heron Drive. He was processed and released pending court.

Oct. 27: Wawa representatives reported two separate incidents of box trucks receiving fuel and departing without making payment. Officers are reviewing video in an effort of identifying those responsible.

Oct. 30: Police charged a 28 year old Penns Grove man with robbery and simple assault as well as various motor vehicle violations following an investigation at the Mobile Works on Beckett Road. The accused, Tyquan Gary, allegedly stole an iPhone 6s valued at $700 from the store and assaulted an employee upon being confronted. Gary fled the scene and was arrested several days later with the assistance of Penns Grove Police. He was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of $10,000 full cash bail.

Oct. 31: Police charged a 21 year old West Deptford woman with harassment following an investigation at a residence in Bridgeport. She was processed and released pending court.

Nov. 1: Police investigated a road rage incident in which a Logan man reportedly was threatened by another man following an event on Village Center Drive. Officers spoke with the involved parties and neither wished to purse formal charges.

Nov. 2: Police, investigating a property dispute on Veterans Drive, charged a 30 year old Penns Grove man with possession of marijuana.  The man was also wanted (NCIC) out of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Dept. He was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail.

Nov. 2: Officers investigated a criminal mischief complaint on Abbey Lane in which several windows and sections of fence were broken. Damage was estimated at $350.

Nov. 5: Police charged a 36 year old Clayton man, Kennard Carr, with theft of moveable property and unlawful taking a means of conveyance after he allegedly stole a 2004 Chevy Malibu from a co-worker while working on Heron Drive. The unoccupied car was later recovered by Woodbury City Police Department. Bail was set at $15,000 and Carr remains at large.

Nov. 6: Officers investigated a residential burglary and criminal mischief complaint at a home on Rt. 322. Entry was gained by breaking out a bedroom window. Nothing was reported stolen.

Nov. 7: Police charged a 46 year old Logan man with DWI following an erratic driver complaint on Paulsboro Road. He was processed and released pending court.

Nov. 8: Officers arrested a 30 year old Logan woman on multiple warrants out of Gloucester City following a pedestrian stop on Main Street.  She was processed and released on her own recognizance.

Nov. 10: Police investigated a residential burglary and theft from a home on Rt. 322. A filing cabinet and an antique wardrobe were reported stolen from within.

Nov. 10: Officers arrested a 21 year old Blackwood man on multiple warrants following a vehicle stop on Beckett Road. He was processed and released on bail.

Nov. 11: Police charged a 22 year old Woolwich man with shoplifting following a complaint at the Rite Aid on Village Center Drive. The man attempted to steal two items valued at $24 by concealing them in his sweatshirt. He was processed and released pending court.

Nov. 12: A Logan woman reported that an acquaintance stole several checks from her, forged her signature, and cashed them in amounts totaling $4,000. Police are investigating the circumstances and complaints may be pending.

Nov. 12: Officers arrested a 22 year old Pedricktown man on outstanding warrants following a vehicle stop on High Hill Road. He was processed and turned over to Penns Grove Police Department.

Nov. 14: Police charged a 22 year old Bellmawr woman with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a vehicle stop on Rt. 130. She was processed and released pending court.

Nov. 15: Police charged a 39 year old Pittsgrove man with criminal mischief following a disturbance at a residence in the Vineyards development. He was processed and released pending court.

Nov. 15: Officers investigated a hit and run crash in which the driver struck a street sign, utility pole and a parked car while travelling south on Paulsboro Road. The operator, a Harrisonville man, was later identified and issued multiple vehicle summons as a result.

Nov. 16: Police, investigating an illegal dumping complaint on Swedesboro Avenue, charged a Williamstown man with the local ordinance violation after he allegedly abandoned an old boat and trailer. The matter is pending court.

Nov. 16: Police charged a 42 year old Atlantic City man with possession of marijuana following a vehicle stop on Rt. 322. He was processed and released pending court.

Nov. 17: A Stratford woman reported that someone stole her purse while she was working on Heron Drive. The purse contained a wallet, $460 in cash, a checkbook and various personal identifiers.

Nov. 17: Police arrested a 27 year old Salem City woman on multiple outstanding warrants following a Center Square Road crash investigation. She was processed and lodged in the Salem County Jail in default.

Nov. 19: Detectives are investigating a cargo theft of 24 pallets of frozen steaks from a business on Commerce Blvd. The person responsible, described only as a Hispanic male operating a white tractor trailer, presented an order slip and had his truck loaded with steaks valued at $350,000.  The shipment never arrived at it designation.

Nov. 19: Officers arrested a 32 year old Salem City man who was wanted (NCIC) by the Salem County Prosecutor’s Office. He was processed and lodged in the Salem County Jail.

Nov. 19: Police arrested a 36 year old Salem City man on an outstanding warrant for hindering apprehension. He was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail.
