SWEDESBORO — The Borough of Swedesboro is committed to sustaining a healthy, thriving community. There are many committees, commissions and events established to achieve these goals.
However, these initiatives can only be successful with the generous support of time, talent, creativity and expertise of our residents. The borough is appealing to the residents to come forward and help in their efforts.
If you are interested in serving on a committee, the meeting dates, times and places are as follows:
Shade Tree Committee meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in Borough Hall.
Historic Preservation Advisory Commission meetings are held on the second Tuesday as noted: April 14, Sept. 8 and Nov. 10, 7 p.m., Borough Hall.
Swedesboro-Woolwich Historical Society and Museum meets on the third Wednesday of the Month at 7 p.m. The remaining 2016 meeting dates are April 20, May 18, no meeting in June/July/August, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, and Nov. 16. There will not be a meeting in December.
Parks and Recreation Committee meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at Woolwich Township Municipal Building.
Board of Health meetings are held quarterly on the first Tuesday of January, April, July and October at 7 p.m. in Borough Hall. The remaining 2016 Meeting dates are April 5, July 5 and Oct. 4.
Economic Development meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at Borough Hall.
Environmental Commission meetings are held at 7 p.m. on second Thursday of the month in either the Swedesboro or Woolwich Municipal buildings (alternating months).
