Kingsway student has top driver safety video

magick-3423t4LcXEkva4RgWOOLWICH TWP. — Kingsway Regional High School student Allison Ragonese was the cat’s meow at the 13th annual Gloucester County Highway Safety Video Production Contest, winning first place by casting a black and white tabby as a distracted driver, gobbling a plate of kibble at the steering wheel of a car and pawing at a cell phone and a radio dial.

The contest is sponsored by the Gloucester County Highway Safety Task Force, a public-private advisory group to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.

High school and middle school students were challenged to produce a 30-second video that carries a message about the hazards of inattentive driving.

The high school winners, whose videos will appear as public service announcements on Comcast cable television include: Kingsway- “Distracted Driving”- Allison Ragonese; Kingsway- “What A Time To Stay Alive”- Joaquin Cavazus, JT Deluca, Max Menold, Alex Iskander; and Clearview- “The Domino Effect”- Samantha Maker, Rachel Lanzalotti, Nick Capriotti.
