Two National Championships and 4 Excellence Awards at Legacy National Finals

SWEDESBORO — passMORE DANCE had a winning National Finals at Legacy National Dance Championships in Myrtle Beach, SC.  All numbers received the top two adjudications, with many numbers in the overalls.

Michael Mallozzi of Woolwich placed third in the mini division with his tap solo, “Life is a Highway.”  He was also named Mini Mr. Legacy.

Ella Arcari of Pilesgrove placed fourth in the junior division with her tap solo, “Fire Under My Feet.”  Two girls placed in the senior division:  Tori Scull of Mullica Hill was seventh and Christina Mallozzi of Woolwich placed ninth.

The duet of Michael Mallozzi and Adie Arcari was third in the Mini Division, with their duet, “Hit the Road Jack.”  The junior duet of Elli and Emmi Caunitis of Pilesgrove captured the National Championship with their duet, Sisters.

The hip hop trio, Madison Meredith (Woolwich), Mackenzie Rattigan (Pilesgrove), and Tori Scull were tenth in the teen division. The tap hip hop duet of Tori Scull and Christina Mallozzi was third.

Sleepover (Adie Arcari, Sophia Chiari (Hopewell), Daija Coleman (Logan), Michael Mallozzi and Kathryn Milligan (Alloway) captured the National Championship with their mini small group Sleepover. This group also competed in the Showdown of the Legends, and placed second.

In the junior division, Bring ‘Em Out, was fourth and was honored to compete in the Showdown of the Legends. Dancers included: Ella Arcari, Jaysen Bechtold (Alloway), Elli and Emmi Caunitis, Molly Lodge (Pilesgrove), Alexis Marini, Madison Meredith, and Mackenzie Rattigan.

Also in the junior division, Bo$$, consisting of Ella Arcari, Elli and Emmi Caunitis, and Molly Lodge, placed fifth. The teens had two in the top ten. Bugaboo (Molly Lodge, Christina Mallozzi, Madison Meredith, Mackenzie Rattigan, and Tori Scull) placed fourth. Worth It (Christini Mallozzi, Alexis Marini, Madison Meredith, Mackenzie Rattigan, and Tori Scull) placed tenth.

Two large groups placed in the teen overall division. Miss Independent (Gabrielle Allen of Mickleton, Ella Arcari, Olivia Barnhardt of Woolwich, Elli and Emmi Caunitis, Sophia Chiari, Molly Lodge, Christina Mallozzi, Alexis Marini, Madison Meredith, Kathryn Milligan, Mackenzie Rattigan, and Tori Scull) was third and was honored to compete in the Showdown of the Legends. Queen M (Adie and Ella Arcari, Olivia Barnhardt, Elli and Emmi Caunitis, Daija Coleman, Chloe Cuzzupe (Pilesgrove), Molly Lodge, Christina Mallozzi, Alexis Marini, Madison Meredith, Lauren Perry (Woolwich), Mackenzie Rattigan, and Tori Scull.

The studio captured four Excellence Awards for being the highest scoring number in a particular genre/age group: Sleepover (tap), BugaBoo (tap), Miss Independent (tap) and Queen M (hip hop).

Four of the teens/seniors were selected to participate in the Opening Number. Christina Mallozzi, Alexis Marini, Madison Meredith, and Mackenzie Rattigan did an outstanding job in the Prince tribute.
