Woolwich Township Democrat Gives Platform

Letter to the EditorTo The Editor:

I am running for Woolwich Township Committee to be a much-needed watchdog for our tax dollars and prevent one-party rule in our local government.

Taxes in Woolwich are out of control and we need someone who will bring balance and accountability to Township Committee while also working across party lines to get things done. That is what I will do if I’m elected, and that is why I am asking for your vote on Tuesday, November 8th.

Here is what I will work to do if elected to Township Committee:

  • Stabilize Out-of-Control Taxes: I will lead efforts to stabilize our local taxes by strengthening partnerships between Woolwich, Gloucester County, and neighboring communities so we are considering all efforts to streamline services, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Fight for Full and Fair School Funding: One of the most critical issues facing Woolwich is our super-growth school district that is steadily increasing our school taxes. I will be a fierce advocate for 100 percent state funding for our schools and work with state officials to get it done.
  • Improve & Expand Community Recreation: What makes Woolwich so special to me is our farmland and open space. I am committed to protecting our rural beauty from development and providing more area for residents to enjoy, including youth sports organizations that have outgrown current fields.

I would be honored to have your vote on Tuesday, November 8th and I can promise to always work my hardest to make Woolwich the best community it can be. If you have any thoughts or questions, or need a ride to the polls, please contact me at info@gms4woolwich.com or 609-230-2328.

Sincerely,

Gina Marie Santore
