Adults:

Holiday Jewelry Craft – Wednesday, Dec. 7 – 6:30 p.m. Create your own holiday jewelry for yourself or for a friend. Space is limited, please register.

Christmas Harp & Acoustic Guitar Concert – Tuesday, Dec. 20 – 6:30 p.m. Take time out of your busy schedule to relax and enjoy festive holiday music by Richmond Carlton. He will be accompanied by Acoustic Guitarist, Justin Carlton. Please register at www.gcls.org.

Adult Book Club – The adult book club will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 27 – 7 p.m. The adult book club meets the last Tuesday of each month unless otherwise specified. December’s selection will be Washington Secret Six by Brian Kilmeade. Please register.

Tween/Teens:

Teen/Tween Book Club – The Teen/Tween book club will be on Thursday, Dec. 8 – 7 p.m. Our book club meets the second Thursday of each month unless otherwise specified. December’s selection will be Stranger by Rachel Manija Brown.

Teen/Tween Writers’ Club – Do you love writing? Join us on the second Mondays of each month.  This time will be devoted to writing! You can work on your own writing or pull ideas from our binder. It’s up to you if you would like to share your work each session. We’ll take our favorite writings and publish them in our Teen Express Literary Magazine. Check online calendar for December.

Teen/Tween Gaming – Join us Thursday, Dec. 15, 6:30 p.m. Play Xbox, Wii, DS’s, and traditional board and card games. Bring a friend and have a great time!

Teen Advisory Board – We welcome teens to join our Teen Advisory Board. Be a Literacy Buddy and work with children, learn library skills, or help plan teen activities. Do you enjoy writing?  Learn to write reviews and create a quarterly teen newsletter. Call 467-0111 for information on how you can volunteer or become an active member.

Literacy Buddies – Looking for teens interested in being a literacy buddy beginning fall 2016. Teens will work one-on-one with a child who needs help learning English, learning to read, or needs help with homework. Commitment is one hour a week.  Call 856-467-0111 if you are interested.

Children:

Christmas with Buddy the Chihuahua – Monday, Dec. 12 – 7 p.m. Join Buddy for this special holiday program! After the show, you can personally meet with him and have your picture taken.

Holiday Stories, Songs, & Craft – Thursday, Dec. 226:30 p.m. Join us for this fun night where you’ll make a special gift to give someone at the holidays. You’ll also hear a fun holiday story and sing some traditional holiday songs. Snacks will be provided.

Family Movie Night – Thursday, Dec. 29 – 6:30 p.m. We’ll laugh together as we watch Elf, rated PG. No school the next morning! Perfect night to relax, be with friends, and share a snack.

New Year’s Eve Party –  Saturday, Dec. 31 – 11 a.m. Don’t miss a fun time at the library! We’ll celebrate the coming New Year with snacks, games, and a craft. The best part will be our countdown to the New Year! Please have your child registered.

Amazing Math/Science Lab – Join us the first Thursdays of each month for our science/math club. We’ll do science experiments some evenings or we may work on math challenges and math games. This month we meet Thursday, Dec. 1 – 7 p.m.

Maker Space Cart:  Stop in and use our maker-space cart. You can make buttons, work with snap circuits, make a bracelet, or make a craft.

FURever as Friends – This program is really a program for all ages – for anyone who loves our friendly, adorable therapy animals. Children can read to our friends and toddlers can share picture books and brush our animals. Some of our animals even do tricks!  This month our animals will be visiting on Mondays, Dec. 5 & 19, from 6:30 to 7:30. On Dec. 19 we will celebrate a special Christmas FURever as Friends event.

Literacy Buddies – Does your child need help with homework, reading or learning English – call us at 856-467-0111 and we will try to match your child with a teen one hour a week.

Toddlers & Babies:

Tuesday Story Time – Story Time is a fun time! Hear stories, sing songs, and make a craft! We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 am (Tuesdays, Dec. 6, 13, 20, & 27). Story Time is best suited for children ages 2-1/2 to 5 years of age. Registration required.

Wednesday Story Time and Dance – Join the fun Wednesday morning story times.  Wednesday morning story time meets at 10:30 a.m. December dates are Dec. 7, 14, 21, & 28 – Library meeting Room. Registration required.

Baby Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Bring your baby to a fun time of music – familiar songs, activities and fingerplays.  Baby Time will be held on Thursdays, Dec. 1 & 15 – 10:30 a.m. Registration required.

Toddler Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Your toddler will enjoy a fun time marching, playing instruments, learning fingerplays, and singing familiar songs. This month’s dates are Thursdays, December 8 & 22 – 10:30 a.m. Registration is required as space is limited.
