logan policeFeb. 3: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 32 year old Wilmington, DE man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for theft/bad checks. He was processed, posted 10 percent of the $1,000 bail and was released pending Superior Court action.

Feb. 6: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 24 year old Sicklerville man was arrested on several outstanding warrants totaling $3,000. He was processed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

Feb 8: Officers received a report of a suspicious person in the area of 501 Beckett Road. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a 22 year old Sicklerville man for possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically Clonazepam.

Feb. 8: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 28 year old Bridgeton man was arrested and charged with possession of under 50g of marijuana. He was transported to headquarters where he was fingerprinted, photographed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

Feb. 12: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 34 year old Philadelphia man was arrested on two outstanding warrants from Pennsauken. During the stop, the man also provided false information as to his identity and he was subsequently charged with hindering his own apprehension. He was processed and released with pending court dates in Pennsauken and Logan Township courts.

Feb. 14: Logan Township Police attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding at which time the driver, a 46 year old Swedesboro man attempted to elude the officer. He then pulled into a residential driveway where he was not an invited guest and turned his lights of in an attempt to conceal his location. When officers removed him from the vehicle, he had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. He was subsequently arrested for DWI and Eluding Police. He was processed, issued several summonses and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

Feb. 21: Incident to a report of a suspicious vehicle, a 27 year old Woolwich Township man was found asleep behind the wheel of the vehicle at Center Square Road and I-295. After performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, he was arrested for DWI. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed, issued several summonses and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

Feb. 24: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 36 year old Bridgeton man was arrested on two outstanding warrants from Atlantic County with bail in the amount of $1,600. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released pending dates in Atlantic City and Hamilton Township Municipal Court.

Feb. 25: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 40 year old Clayton man was arrested on several outstanding warrants with a total cash bail of $1,500. He was processed and released after posting partial bail and given new court dates.

Feb. 25: Logan Township Police Department Sgt. Bryan Haas responded to Davidson Road to assist Woolwich Township Police on a motor vehicle stop so that his K-9 partner “Hunter” could perform a sniff of the vehicle from which narcotics had already been seized. After the sniff was completed, the occupant of the car, a 21 year old Woolwich Township resident, was advised that he was under arrest. At that time he pushed the arresting officer and began to flee on foot. After being given several commands to stop and refusing to heed those commands, K9 Hunter was released and apprehended the fleeing suspect a short distance away. He was handcuffed and ultimately transported to Woolwich Township Police Headquarters for processing on narcotics and resisting arrest by force charges.

March 2: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 22 year old Logan Township man was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

March 6: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 19 year old Swedesboro man was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to headquarters where he was fingerprinted, photographed and served his summonses. He was then released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

March 8: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 22 year old Camden man was arrested and charged with providing false information to law enforcement and hindering his own apprehension in order to attempt being arrested for several outstanding municipal court warrants totaling $850 bail. He was transported to headquarters where he was photographed and served his summonses.  He was released after being given new court dates for the outstanding warrants.

March 9: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 22 year old National Park woman was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to headquarters where she was fingerprinted, photographed and served his summonses. She was then released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

March 9: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 25 year old Salem woman was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Carneys Point Municipal Court. She was processed and turned over to Carneys Point Police.

March 10: Police responded to Rite Aid, 335 Village Center Drive for a report of shoplifting. As a result of the ensuing investigation, police arrested a 30 year old Gibbstown woman for shoplifting. It was learned that she had taken diapers, baby wipes, deodorant and over the counter pain relievers by concealing the items under a blanket on a baby carrier. She was transported to headquarters where she was processed and served with her summons. She was then released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

March 11: Police responded to Madison Street for a report of a stolen vehicle. It was learned that during the overnight hours, an unknown actor(s) entered an unlocked 2011 Hyundai Sante Fe and stole the vehicle from in front of the victim’s residence.

March 11: Police responded to Cardinal Court for a report of burglary to a vehicle. A woman’s purse and wallet were stolen from the unlocked vehicle in the overnight hours. The purse was located a short distance away but the wallet and its contents were not recovered.

March 11: Police responded to Robins Run East for a report of burglary to a vehicle. An iPhone, charging cord and $30.00 in cash were stolen from the unlocked vehicle.

March 11: Police responded to Woodfield Drive for a report of burglary to a vehicle. Nothing was stolen from within the unlocked vehicle, however the suspect(s) left a cigarette lighter within the vehicle which did not belong to the owner. That lighter was secured as evidence and later processed. No discernable fingerprints were located on the lighter.

March 11: Police responded to Stonemill Way for a report of burglary to a vehicle. A computer bag, laptop computer and work files were stolen from within the unlocked vehicle. The items were later located on a walking path in the area. Attempts to gather latent fingerprints from the computer were met with negative results.

March 16: UPS Mail investigations reported that gift cards processed through their facility were not reaching their intended destinations. As a result of an internal investigation, it was discovered that the male attempted to use one of the cards at a retail establishment in Delaware. When confronted by UPS management the male, a 27 year old Newark, DE resident, fled the facility in his vehicle. He was subsequently stopped by responding patrol officers. During the ensuing roadside investigation, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. Incident to that search, marijuana and over $38,000 was seized from the car. The suspect was arrested and transported to headquarters where he was fingerprinted, photographed and served with a summons, charging him with theft, receiving stolen property and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. He was ultimately released pending Grand Jury action in Gloucester County Superior Court.

March 17: Incident to a motor vehicle stop for speeding, the officer detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted which revealed marijuana on both rear seat passengers. The two men, a 19 year old Logan Township resident and an 18 year old East Greenwich resident, were subsequently arrested and transported to headquarters. The Logan Township man was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana within 1000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle. The East Greenwich resident was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle. He was also found to have an outstanding warrant from Woolwich Township which he was given a new court date for.  Both men were fingerprinted, photographed and served their summonses. They were subsequently released pending dates in Logan Township Municipal Court.

March 18: Incident to information received from a business on Commerce Boulevard, a 21 year old Penns Grove man was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant from Carneys Point municipal court with $1,000 bail. He was processed and turned over to Carneys Point Police.
