WEST DEPTFORD — Senate President Steve Sweeney, Assembly Deputy Speaker John Burzichelli, and Assemblyman Adam Taliaferro encourage Third Legislative District residents to visit their upcoming traveling office locations: Swedesboro Branch of the Gloucester County Library System, 1442 Kings Highway on Thursday, May 11, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.; Woolwich Township Municipal Building, 120 Village Green Drive on Wednesday, May 31, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
“Our mobile office locations provide an opportunity for Third District residents to access the services of our district offices without traveling to our office locations in West Deptford or Salem,” said Sweeney. “We encourage residents to visit our upcoming mobile office locations to learn about state programs, request certification for their notaries, or discuss their thoughts about a particular issue or piece of legislation.”
The mobile offices are hosted by experienced constituent services staff members who are available to assist residents with issues such as unemployment claim difficulties, energy assistance programs, professional licensing matters, consumer complaints, or any matter with a state agency.
“Our staff is available to assist residents in communicating with a state agency should they be experiencing a difficulty,” added Burzichelli. “One of our roles as a state legislative office is to help our residents address concerns with any state department.”
“Residents can visit at any point during our mobile office hours to speak one-on-one with a staff member from our legislative office,” said Taliaferro. “We hope that residents take advantage of our mobile offices in the Swedesboro/Woolwich area to learn more about the Third District Legislative Office and the services we provide.”
The visits will highlight resources for families, including travel information, activity books for children, and consumer information. In addition, copies of this year’s Property Tax Reimbursement program applications for first time applicants (also known as the “Senior Freeze”) will also be available for residents to pick up.
The deadline to apply for the Property Tax Reimbursement program is June 1.
