SWEDESBORO — In March the Kiwanis Club of Greater Swedesboro held their second annual Flapjack Fundraiser at Applebee’s in Logan Township. While there, the celebrated the chartering of the Kingsway High School Key Club.

Several club members are helping on an ongoing basis to prepare sandwiches for and to serve meals to the homeless in Camden.

In April the club participated in the Gloucester County Clean Communities Day by collecting trash along Center Square Road in Logan Township.

During May the Kiwanis held a 50/50 ball drop at Swedesboro’s Fun Day. Mike Baus was the big winner of $1,730.

June found them cleaning Garwin Road for Woolwich Cleanup Day and also donating an Italian themed basket to “Mario’s Fight” lemonade stand.

The Swedesboro Head Start program has been happy having them read to the children throughout the year.

After meeting with school administrators, the club is pleased to announce that they will be starting a “Terrific Kids” program in Logan Township as well as the Swedesboro-Woolwich schools again for the coming school year.
