Oct. 14: Police stopped a bicyclist for operating against traffic in an unsafe manner on Paulsboro Road. The 25 year old Deptford man was found to have a $500 warrant from Burlington City Municipal Court. During the ensuing arrest, he was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia (a straw with white powder residue inside used for ingesting CDS). He was transported to headquarters where he was charged with Possession of Under 50g of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The man was released on the Burlington City warrant with a new court date. He was processed and served his summons for the Logan Township charges and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

Oct. 14: Incident to a motor vehicle stop on High Hill Rd., police detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent probable cause search revealed suspected marijuana in the driver’s door pocket. The driver, a 44 year old Ambler, PA man, was arrested and charged with Possession of Under 50g of Marijuana. He was processed and released with a date pending in Logan Township Municipal Court.

Oct. 14: Police were dispatched to the Bridgeport Speedway, 83 Floodgate Rd, for a report of a fight. Upon arrival all parties involved were uncooperative, however one of them, a 21 year old Brooklawn man, was found to have outstanding warrants from two different municipal courts totaling $681. He was arrested, transported to headquarters, processed and released on his own recognizance with new court dates pending.

Oct. 15: An Applewood Dr. resident reported criminal mischief to his vehicle during the overnight hours. Unknown actor(s) bent the windshield wipers, bent the license plates, broke the gas filler door, broke a headlight and scratched the paint of his 2013 Dodge Dart. No suspects could be identified.

Oct. 17: A parent dropping a child off at the Goddard School, 553 Beckett Rd., advised that upon returning to her vehicle, she found the passenger side window smashed out and her purse stolen. Same contained her wallet, iPhone 8 and Kindle tablet. A check of the phone’s tracking application revealed it was pinging in Gibbstown and the purse was subsequently located in a dumpster in the Motel 6 parking lot on Harmony Road. The purse, tablet and iPhone were all recovered. However, the wallet, which contained the victim’s NJ driver’s license and numerous credit cards could not be found. Police reviewed surveillance footage in the area of the theft and the recovery but none of the video could develop a suspect(s).

Oct. 18: An employee of Amazon.com, 2651 Oldmans Creek Rd., reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse inside a custodian’s closet at the facility. Same contained her identification documents and numerous credit cards. Her Bank of America debit card was utilized in several locations in Penns Grove and Carneys Point but no suspects were able to be identified.

Oct .19: An employee of Concord Pets, 318 Village Center Dr., reported that a proposed customer used a distraction technique to lure her and a coworker away from the counter, at which time the “customer” went behind the counter and took the victim’s wallet from her purse. Same contained numerous credit/gift cards and the victim’s NJ driver’s license. The only description of the suspect was a black male with a beard, estimated to be in his mid-twenties, operating an older model maroon Ford Explorer.

Oct. 20: A Hancock St. resident reported that her vehicle was entered during the overnight hours and approximately $5 in loose change was stolen from within.

Oct. 20: An Edward Dr. resident reported that her vehicle was entered during the overnight hours and approximately $5 in loose change was stolen from within.

Oct. 20: An Adams St. resident reported that her vehicle was entered during the overnight hours and approximately $6 in loose change was stolen from within.

Oct. 20: A Hancock St. resident reported that her vehicle was entered during the overnight hours and approximately $3 in loose change was stolen from within.

Oct. 20: A Merle Ln. resident reported that someone damaged his mailbox, knocking it off the post. No suspects could be identified.

Oct. 20: A Madison St. resident reported that his vehicle was entered during the overnight hours and various computer components were stolen from within. The total loss was estimated to be approximately $100.

Oct. 24: A Fox Ln. resident reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle during the overnight hours and stole her wallet. The wallet contained $80 cash, her NJ driver’s license and several credit cards. Upon reviewing her debit card transactions, an Uber charge was processed which the victim had not authorized. The investigation into the Uber account responsible that charge continues.

Oct. 24: A Fox Ln. resident reported that her vehicle was entered during the overnight hours and approximately $5 in loose change was stolen from within.

Oct. 24: A Stirrup Ln. resident reported that his vehicle was entered during the overnight hours and a cordless drill, a laptop computer and a wireless air card were stolen from within. The total value of the stolen items was estimated to be $500. No suspects could be identified.

Oct. 26: A Burgundy Dr. resident reported that her vehicle had been entered overnight and Dell laptop computer and Louis Vuitton purse along with various other personal items were stolen from within. The total value of the loss was in excess of $5,000.

Oct. 27: While investigating a parking/public safety concern at Taylor Farms, 406 Heron Dr., police detected the odor of marijuana coming from the passenger compartment. A subsequent probable cause search revealed a quantity of marijuana, oxycodone pills and suboxone sublingual strips. The driver, a 31 year old Willingboro woman, was taken into custody and transported to headquarters. There she was processed and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, possession of under 50g of marijuana, failure to surrender CDS to police and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was served her summonses and released pending a date in Gloucester County Superior Court.

Oct. 27: An Edward Dr. resident reported finding two bicycles in his back yard that did not belong to his family. Same were later discovered to have been previously reported stolen from Woolwich Township. The bikes were subsequently returned to their rightful owner.

Oct. 31: A Heidi Ln. resident reported that sometime between 0100 and 0400 someone stole his 2005 Dodge Ram from in front of the residence. The vehicle was left unlocked and the keys were left inside. No suspects have been identitfied.

Oct. 31: Police were dispatched to Uptown Bakeries, 2271 High Hill Rd., for a dispute. Upon arrival it was determined that a female employee’s cell phone had been stolen from her vehicle while she and co-workers were on a break. The suspect, a 34 year old Chester, PA man, denied any wrongdoing as additional information was gathered from witnesses. Upon attempting to identify the man, he initially gave officers false information as to who he was. When his true identity was discovered he was placed under arrest for providing false information. He was also found to be a wanted person from Delaware County, PA.  A subsequent search incident to arrest uncovered the victim’s cell phone in his possession. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and charged with Hindering Apprehension by Providing False Information, Fugitive from Justice and Theft. He was subsequently remanded to Salem County Jail to await extradition to PA on his outstanding warrants there.

Nov. 2: Police were dispatched to XPO Logistics, 2810 Oldmans Creek Rd., for a report of a dispute. Upon arrival it was determined that a current employee had assaulted an applicant and the incident was captured on surveillance video. The suspect, a 31 year old Pennsville man was also found to have an active warrant out of Pennsville Municipal Court in the amount of $550. He was taken into custody and transported to headquarters where he was processed and served a summons for Simple Assault. He was then turned over to Pennsville Police on the outstanding warrant.
