Solid Waste Complex opens Convenience Center for residents in 2018

SOUTH HARRISON TWP. — Starting in March 2018, the Gloucester County Solid Waste Complex, located at 503 Monroeville Road in South Harrison Township, will be opening its Convenience Center to residents for one Saturday every month until November.

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, “The Convenience Center allows for residents to rid themselves of items they may have forgotten to leave out on trash day or cannot necessarily leave out at the curb for the trucks to pick up. It is convenient to have a place to take trash and debris and to prevent it all from sitting around the house.”

Residents will be able to drop off household trash from private residences, bulky items such as furniture, constriction debris, remodeling debris, and the like. Popular reasons for drop-off may include small remodel jobs, missing a trash day, a house clean out, or discarding furniture.

The convenience center will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. no commercial or industrial customers will be permitted on the following Saturdays: March 3, April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7, Aug. 4, Sept. 8, Oct. 6, and Nov. 3.

Applicable fees apply based on the material brought in. For more information please visit http://www.gcianj.com/solid-waste-complex/
