SWEDESBORO — Well another year has gone by and it’s Valentine’s Day again. Last year I said I have many sweethearts. My “Sweethearts” are the many people that make King’s Things work.
Many of our volunteer core has received Presidential Volunteer Service awards. The President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation created the President’s Volunteer Service Award Program as a way to thank Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service. The award is given to individuals, families, and groups that have demonstrated outstanding volunteer service and civic participation over a course of a 12 month period.
Receiving Gold: Joan Calce, Marcella Marshall, Joan Marth; Silver: Tom Harker, Gretchen Kunkle, Dianna Laux, Ernst Laux, Debbie Maxfield, Joseph Rondinelli; Bronze: Velda Emonds, Ken Leigland, Arlene McKibbin, Susan Meyers.
Our volunteers have taken the challenge “To Feed and Clothe the Needy”. This past year was the largest on record in the form of revenue generated and in people served. As you know we are all volunteers all revenue that is generated goes back into the families in the
community.
Would you be my Sweet Heart, please volunteer and help us help others.
