SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR MARCH
Jake Martin, son of William and Carrie Martin of Woolwich Township.
School Activities: Varsity Volleyball, Foreign Language Club, President of National Honor Society, Habitat for Humanity, Astronomy Club, Chemistry Club, Student Council, World Language National Honor Society, Peer Tutoring (part of National Honor Society), Renaissance, and Girls’ Varsity Volleyball Manager.
Out of School Activities: National Club Volleyball Team, beach volleyball, CCL Industrial internship, where Jake built his own 3D printer. He also volunteers within the community. (Most of the time, Jake tutors’ students in need, and others for free.)
Honors/Awards: Superintendent’s and Principal’s Lists, and Student Athlete of the Month for April 2017.
Future Plans: Jake plans to earn a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, while going for either an MBA or master’s degree in additive manufacturing following undergraduate school.
SARAH SNOOK, daughter of Tim and Kim Snook of Swedesboro.
School Activities: National Honor Society, Tri-M National Honor Society, World Language National Honor Society, Play, Musical, World Wildlife Fund Club, Book Club, Yearbook and Senior Choir.
Out of School Activities: Fellowship at Saint Francis Veterinary Center, and InBeTween Girls Mentoring.
Honors/Awards: Thespian of the Year for 2018, Julie Riggi Award for 2014, and poems published by the American Library of Poetry in 2008, 2014, and 2015.
Future Plans: Sarah plans to attend the University of Delaware and major in pre-veterinary studies and animal bioscience in hopes of becoming a veterinarian.
