SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR APRIL
Adam Chhour, son of Meng and Xiao Man Chhour of Mount Royal.
School Activities: Director of KDTV News, president of KDTV, covers and films school events and sports, Photography Club, Cricket Club, Writers’ Bloc, Renaissance, and World Language National Honor Society (junior year).
Out of School Activities: Adam attends RCGC as an HSOP student, has an internship at WHYY in Philadelphia, works as a freelance videographer for GLEN and V.I.P. Video, and also works as a video director at Gloucester County Community Church.
Honors/Awards: Superintendent’s and Principal’s Lists, People’s Choice Award, 1st place New Town Press Photo Contest (January 2017 and September 2017), New Jersey High School Film Challenge for Best Editing (2016), Best Drama (2017) and numerous awards for online film contests with prizes ranging from $100 to 2,000.
Future Plans: Adam plans to attend Montclair State University to major in filmmaking. He hopes to one day have his movies/plays in the theaters.
Madison Grigg, daughter of Eric and Debbie Grigg of Mickleton.
School Activities: Yearbook Senior Editor, varsity bowling team, STEM Academy, Chem Club, Foreign Language Club, World Language National Honor society, National Honor Society, and taking SAP classes this year.
Out of School Activities: Part-time job as a party hostess at Legends Ballpark, volunteers every year at STEM Night at the Stratton School, and places flags on veterans’ graves at Eglington Cemetery for Memorial Day.
Honors/Awards: Principal’s List her entire high school career, received three varsity letters, and she has been accepted into the honors college at West Virginia University. Madison is 24/450 in the senior class.
Future Plans: Madison will be going to West Virginia University for forensic and investigative sciences. She plans on working for a state lab and eventually the FBI.
