Adults:

Make a Butterfly Oasis – Wednesday, Aug. 16 – 6:30 p.m. Turn empty jars into a beautiful butterfly oasis to decorate your home. Space is limited. Go to www.gcls.org to register.

Washi Tape Craft – Wednesday, Aug. 29 – 6:30 p.m. Try your hand at using this unique tape to design your monogram to hang on the wall. Space is limited, please register.

Adult Book Club – The adult book club will resume in the fall. The book selections for summer reading will be posted in the library.

Adult Summer Reading – Remember Summer Reading ends Aug. 4. Fill out your slips for this last week. You may be the grand prize winner of a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble.

Tween/Teens:

Summer Reading Program – Remember Summer Reading ends Aug. 4. Be sure to hand in your logs to be eligible for prizes. Coupons are redeemable until Aug. 31, 2018.

Teen/Tween Gaming – Join us on Thursday, Aug. 16 – 6:30 p.m. Play Xbox, Wii, DS’s, and traditional board and card games. Bring a friend and have a great time.

Teen/Tween Lock-in – Friday, Aug. 24 – 6-10 p.m. Signed permission slips and Parent/guardian drop-off-pick-up are required. Please sign up at the circulation desk. Join us for a fun-filled evening which will include short video clips on drug and alcohol abuse, games, a craft, a teen/tween challenge, a make-your-own sundae time, and pizza.

Teen Advisory Board – We welcome teens to join our Teen Advisory Board. Teen Board members will learn library skills, help plan teen activities, contribute to our quarterly teen newsletter and/or work with children by becoming a Literacy Buddy. Call 856-467-0111 for more information.

Literacy Buddies – Looking for teens interested in becoming a Literacy Buddy. During the school year, teens will work one-on-one with a child who needs help with reading, homework or learning English. Commitment is one hour a week. This program will resume in the fall. Children:

Magic Show and End-of-Summer Reading Party – Thursday, Aug. 2 – 2 p.m.Bethesda Chapel. Join us for Gary Saunders Frozen Magic Show. You’ll enjoy puppets, comedy, magic, and storytelling. Enjoy refreshments, too, to celebrate the end of our summer reading program. Be sure to register as space is limited. All ages are invited.

Pick a Craft – Monday, Aug. 13 – 7 p.m. – For ages 6-12. Come in and choose a craft to make.

Family Board Game Night – Monday, Aug. 20 – 6:30 p.m. Bring your favorite board game and be sure to bring a friend. There will also be a selection of board games to choose from. Best suited for ages 6-13.

Family Bingo – Monday, Aug. 27 – 6:30 p.m. Enjoy a fun family night of bingo. We’ll play regular bingo, 4 corners, “T” bingo, and more. Win prizes. Be sure to register as space is limited.

Family Movie Night – Thursday, Aug. 30 – 6:30 p.m. – Enjoy watching a Wrinkle in Time with your friends. This movie is rated PG. Bring a friend and bring your own snack. Popcorn and lemonade will be provided. Be sure to register.

FURever as Friends  –  Our therapy animals are taking a break for August, but they’ll be back in September. Save the date:  Monday, Sept. 17.

Literacy Buddies – This program will resume again in October.  Does your child need help with homework, reading or learning English – call us at 856-467-0111 and we will try to match your child with a Teen Volunteer. Literacy buddies will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, beginning in October, from 4 -5 p.m. Let us know which day is best for you.

Toddlers & Babies:

Marcia Kratz Kids’ Music Round – Friday, Aug. 3 – 10:30 a.m. Marcia will have your toddlers singing, dancing, and having fun. Be sure to register as space is limited. This program is for children 1-6.

Tuesday Storytime – Storytime is a fun time. Hear stories, sing songs, and make a craft. We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. August storytime dates are Aug. 7, 14, 21, & 28.  Storytime is best suited for children ages 2-1/2 to 5 years of age. Registration required.

Wednesday Storytime – Join in the fun Wednesday morning for stories, dancing and crafts.  Wednesday storytime is at 10:30 a.m. Dates for August are Aug. 8, 15, 22, & 29 – Library meeting room. Registration required.

Baby Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Bring your baby to a fun time of music – familiar songs, activities and fingerplays. Baby Time will be held on Thursdays, Aug. 2 & 16 – 10:30 a.m. Space is limited. Registration is required.

Toddler Music Time – “Sing, Dance, and Play” – Your toddler will enjoy a fun time marching, playing instruments, learning fingerplays, and singing familiar songs. This month’s dates are Thursdays, Aug. 9 & 23. Registration is required as space is limited.
