SWEDESBORO — On your mark, get set, go! Race on down to Swedesboro Woolwich Day on Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Downtown Swedesboro on Kings Highway will be the place to be. The annual Dragon Run is in its 12th year and will attract runners and walkers of all ages. The Run benefits the Nathaniel Boerlin scholarship fund.
At the end of the race, Swedesboro Woolwich day begins. New this year will be an R/C race track. This free activity will pit six contestants against each other in timed races to the finish with 1/10 model NASCAR R/C cars.
Move out of the fast lane and cruise through all the cars entered into the classic car show. If running or car racing is not your speed, there’s still plenty more to do at Swedesboro Woolwich day.
How about entering a cornhole tournament sponsored by Kingsway ice hockey? Or try your skill on the mechanical bull or the 24 foot Rock wall. Video racing more your speed? Swedesboro Woolwich Day will have that too in a mobile video arcade.
All these activities are free thanks to the support of generous sponsors like Inspira Health Network. There will be several food trucks as well as artisans and crafters, local businesses and non-profit. The main stage will have continuous entertainment.
Swedesboro Woolwich day will be held rain or shine. More information including parking areas and shuttle bus schedules can be found on www.Swedesboroday.com
