WOOLWICH TWP. — The Kingsway Education Association (KEA) made a generous $3,000 donation to the Kingsway Education Foundation during the October Kingsway Board of Education meeting, to a packed audience of parents, students and school officials.

The unrestricted donation will be used to support scholarships, mini-grants and events sponsored by the Foundation.

Joe Kuppler, President of the KEA, stated that he was proud to be able to present the donation on behalf of his membership and knows that the money will support our students through scholarships and min-grants.

“The KEA’s donation is greatly appreciated and demonstrates their members’ commitment to our students and programs,” said Dr. James J. Lavender, Superintendent of Schools and Foundation’s Executive Director. “It’s these sorts of donations that make the work of the Foundation possible.”

To date the Foundation has donated close to $200,000 in scholarships, awards and program sponsorship and has played an integral role in filling funding gaps over the past eight years.
