MULLICA HILL — The holidays are here And what better way to slow down and enjoy them with family, than with an evening on Main Street in Mullica Hill for the 45th annual Christmas House Tour held Dec. 8.
The house tour will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Shops in the historic down town will open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Six historic homes will open their doors to the public, including three brand new to the tour.
Homes range from the 1700’s to the 1950’s. A 1700’s saltbox, a 1820’s cozy apartment, and the oldest home in Mullica Hill are on the tour. Churches and history of structure and more add to the event.
Adding to the holiday atmosphere is live music and carolers. You can also warm by several bonfires and sip tea and hot cocoa. Refreshments will be served through town, like popcorn over open fire, roasted marshmallows, and treats.
Old fashioned entertainment singing and storytelling will take place at Old Town Hall. Live music at the Old Mill Antiques and Farm House Design. Also, at Farm House the back garden will be lit with 1,000 lights and bonfires to keep warm.
And Santa will be at Cherry on Top from 3 to 4:30 and Farm House from 6 to 8 p.m., telling stories and hearing what he can bring the little ones.
Many shops offer open house specials and offer all new holiday goods. 322 BBQ and Naples are open for all day dining. Also, within a mile of downtown are Chianti, Harrison House and Marino’s.
