Woolwich Adopts “No Knock” Ordinance

WOOLWICH TWP. — The Woolwich Township Committee has adopted a “Do Not Knock Registry” ordinance that provides an enforceable level of protection for residents who do not want peddlers and solicitors to conduct activities on their property.

Effective immediately, Woolwich Township residents can register to be on the Do Not Solicit List. Woolwich’s new “No Knock” ordinance gives residents the opportunity to prohibit solicitors, vendors and peddlers from approaching their home.

Solicitors and vendors will be provided a list of those residents on the “Do Not Knock” registry when applying for a permit. Additionally, the township will provide decals for residents who wish to post their homes as a “Do Not Knock” property.

Residents interested in signing on to the “Do Not Knock” registry, can do so within the office of the Woolwich Township Clerk during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The Woolwich Township Municipal Building is located at 120 Village Green Drive, Woolwich Township.
