SWEDESBORO — The Kiwanis Club of Greater Swedesboro, The Swedesboro Woolwich PTO, and The Swedesboro Woolwich Parks and Recreation Committee, have joined together to present the 2nd Annual 08085 Run/Walk/Sit.
This event will celebrate the zip code that Swedesboro, Woolwich, and Logan share, and will kick off Fun Day 2019 on June 1. There will be a 0.8 mile race for kids, a 0.8 mile walk for walkers, a 0 K sit for anyone who ever wanted to get a race shirt and medal but is unable to train for a race, an 8 K race that will take runners to all three 08085 municipalities, and a 5 K run/walk. Awards will be given for first, second, and third place finishers in each category and age group.
The 8K run, 5 K run/walk, and the .8 mile walk will take place at 8 a.m. The .8 mile race for kids will kick off Fun Day at 1 p.m. All events take place at Locke Avenue Park. Register online at www.runtheday.com/race/08085run or contact the race director at 08085run@gmail.com .
The goal is to provide an event that everyone can participate in and enjoy that will help us raise funds that will be used to benefit children. All profits from this event are used by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Swedesboro and the Swedesboro Woolwich PTO to provide supplies, programs, and scholarships for children.
