SWEDESBORO – Local writers Lois Stanley and Russell C. Shiveler Jr. have had a second history book of the area published and released. This one, part of the Postcard History Series, features post cards of the Swedesboro and Woolwich Township area.
The book will be available for purchase on Swedesboro Day, Saturday, Sept. 28 where it can also be signed by the authors. There will also be a book sale and signing on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Swedesboro Branch Library on Kings Highway.
The book can only be purchased from the authors and the proceeds benefit the Swedesboro Woolwich Historical Society.
Stanley is a retired high school English teacher and longtime Swedesboro resident. Shiveler grew up in Woolwich Township.
Their first book was part of the Images of America Series, Swedesboro and Woolwich Township. Both books were published by Arcadia Publishing with the cooperation of the Swedesboro-Woolwich Historical Society.
