Recovering Veteran Exhibits Artwork- Artist and Gulf War Veteran, Phil Volk, gives an inside look at his ongoing mental health and addiction recovery through artwork and writings. The work is not for sale. “Unfinished Business” will be on exhibit from Oct. 15 – Nov. 30.

Felting – Wednesday, Oct. 9, 6:30 p.m. Try your hand at learning to felt. Step-by-step directions will be given, and materials will be supplied. You’ll go home with a finished Halloween felted decoration. Space is very limited. Participants must be registered at www.gcls.org.

Teen/Tween Gaming – Join us on Thursday, Oct. 17, 6:30-8 p.m. Play Xbox, Wii, DS’s, and traditional board and card games. Bring a friend and have a great time!
Literacy Buddies – We are looking for teens interested in becoming a Literacy Buddy. Teens can work one-on-one with a child who needs help with reading, math, homework, or learning English. FURever as Friends – Monday, Oct. 7 & 28, 6:30-8 p.m. Visit with our therapy animals, read to them, share a picture book, brush their coat, and/or give them a treat.
