Local Dr. To Trade Health Services In Exchange For Food For Local Foodbank

GIBBSTOWN – Dr. Blaise K. Glodowski of Gibbstown Chiropractic Center PA, will be providing health services at no charge in exchange for non-perishable food items at his Broad Street office as part of “Community Appreciation Day” on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Gibbstown Chiropractic Center PA, located at 360 E. Broad Street in Gibbstown.

The food will be donated to the Paulsboro/Gibbstown Food Bank as part of its annual food drive the week of Nov. 17 through Nov. 24.

Glodowski will offer all services including stress examinations, life extension evaluations, physical exams, and x-rays (if needed) at no charge. The Food Bank asks patrons instead to bring donations of non-perishable food items. The normal fees for these services would normally range from $35 to $435.

This is the 31st year that Glodowski has embarked on his annual food drive, which is a joint venture to benefit the Paulsboro/Gibbstown Food Bank. This year Glodowski will be helped by massage therapists who will also be providing free massages at his office that day. Betty Joe Zeno will be on hand providing Reike Healing and Inspira will be doing blood pressures checks as well.

Glodowski said his personal goal was to donate over $5,000 in services that day.

Each person who comes in will be eligible to win door prizes and gift certificates donated by area sponsors. Refreshments will also be served as well.

“It’s a great day. People come out and get the medical care they need, the Food Bank gets the food they need for the needy and just about everyone gets some sort of door prize or certificate. So it’s a win, win, win for everyone involved.

“The best part is that we will raise enough food to help the Food Bank get through the toughest time of year, the holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas. I became a doctor to help people so whether it’s helping them with their health at my office or getting food on their table, that’s what motivates me. I look forward to this event every year and so does my staff,” said Glodowski.

Everyone is invited to attend but please call Gibbstown Chiropractic Center, PA in advance for an appointment at (856) 423-3899.

The top 10 need of the Food Bank are: peanut butter and jelly, pasta, spaghetti sauce, pancake mix, syrup, cereal, canned meats, tuna, juice, and canned stews.
