Woolwich Community Garden Wins PHS Blue Ribbon

THE WOOLWICH COMMUNITY GARDEN was named one of 102 blue ribbon winners by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. There over 400 entries. Although no awards were given for the online Peoples’ Choice contest, Woolwich’s Garden was also ranked fourth.
The Woolwich Community Garden is a team effort and thanks are being extended to Woolwich Township, Woolwich Township Public Works, Administrator/Clerk Jane DiBella, the Swedesboro-Woolwich Environmental Commission, farmer Joe Maugeri who initially plows the garden, garden coordinator Jordan Schlump, Master Gardener Martha Hogan-Battisti who signed the garden up for this contest, and to all gardeners who showcased their gardens to be the best that they could be.
