SWEDESBORO — Samantha Delmar has been chosen as the 2020 recipient of the John J. Adams, Esq. Memorial Scholarship. The recipient of the scholarship must demonstrate an interest in history, law, politics, and the arts, journalism or creative writing.
Delmar is a four-year veteran of Kingsway’s delegations to Princeton Model Congress and NJ Model Congress where she was named as Outstanding Delegate and was a talented debater. While at Kingsway, she participated in renaissance, National Honor Society, World Language National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and Concert Band.
Delmar will attend Misericordia University to pursue a career in Speech – Language Pathology in their five-year dual bachelor/master’s program and plans to participant in the university’s Government Law and National Security Club.
The scholarship was named in honor of John J. Adams, Esq., local Judge, prosecutor and historian who graduated from the University of Delaware and Emory University School of Law and maintained a private law practice in the Borough of Swedesboro. He was known for his sense of humor and a love for the creative use of the English Language.
