To the Editor,
Senator Steve Sweeney has put forward legislation to explore school regionalization and countywide school districts, which I believe is a very good idea that will benefit both students and taxpayers. All children are deserving of a great education – no matter their zip code – and Sweeney’s bill upholds that belief by strengthening K-12 curriculum coordination. It will also create new paths to lower costs for state taxpayers which absolutely needs to happen. I’m glad that Sweeney is still pushing for bold reforms that will improve policies and reduce costs, that is the kind of leadership this state needs.
Sincerely,
