Nature’s own pest control released at Tranquility Trail

The Swedesboro-Woolwich Environmental Commission Celebrated Earth Day this year with the release of 43 guinea hens at beautiful Tranquility Trail. The hens will naturally help reduce the tick and mosquito population. Each hen can eat up to an acre of bugs per day. The Commission will also plant two new Salem Oaks as well as monitor and maintain the well-established Bluebird Houses throughout the township. A special thanks to Tyrese “Ty” Gould Jacinto and Victor Jacinto from Purepecha Unalachtigo Ranch for raising and helping with the release of our Guinea Hens.
