Butterfly Festival, July 10

The Butterfly Steps at Red Bank Battlefield

NATIONAL PARK — Celebrate butterflies and their important place in our natural world at Gloucester County’s Fourth Annual Butterfly Festival at Red Bank Battlefield in National Park on July 10 from 12 noon until 4 p.m.

Many educational and fun activities are planned for both adults and children. An Insect Show by Dr. Dan will fascinate participants of all ages. The Butterfly House on park grounds will be open for tours throughout the afternoon.

Admission is free, and there will be live music, free crafts, games, and balloon art for the kids.  All are invited to be part of a Bug and Butterfly Parade. There will be vendors on hand selling plants that will help turn your garden into a “butterfly cafeteria”, food trucks and artisans selling hand-crafted items.

This event is sponsored by the Gloucester County Certified Gardeners Association and Gloucester County Parks and Recreation. For more information or a schedule of events, call their office at 856-307-6456, or email eschreiter@co.gloucester.nj.us
