May 3: Officers responded to the DREAM Park on Rt. 130 for a Theft report. It was reported that sometime overnight, someone stole a $400 aluminum flat bottom boat from the park.

May 5: Officers responded to UPS on Birch Creek Road for a Theft report. It was reported that security observed the suspect take several boxes into the bathroom, where he was then observed opening the boxes which contained $200 worth of BIC lighters. After investigating, officers arrested the 31-year-old Wilmington, DE man for Theft. He was released on a summons pending a future court date.

May 7: Officers responded to the area of Center Square Road and Rt. 130 for a Trespassing and Theft report, with the suspect leaving the area. Officers observed and stopped the suspect vehicle, with the stolen items still in plain view. After investigating, officers arrested the 64-year-old Logan Twp. man for Trespassing and Theft. He was charged and released on a summons with a pending court date.

May 10: Officers responded to Mapei on High Hill Road for a Theft report. It was reported that sometime over the weekend, 12 tires and rims were stolen from several of the trucks on the property. Detectives are viewing surveillance footage for suspects. The value of the stolen items is approx. $6,000.

May 14: Officers responded to the area of Rt. 322 and I-295 for a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash. Officers located the suspect vehicle a short distance away and investigated the crash. During the investigation, officers detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver. After doing field sobriety tests, officers arrested the 17-year-old female from Wilmington, DE for Driving Under the Influence. She was charged with DUI, Refusal to Submit and several motor vehicle summonses. She was released to a family member pending a future court date.

May 19: Officers responded to the Bridgeport Speedway on Floodgate Road for a report of an Assault. It was reported that a patron of the raceway addressed his displeasure with staff. One of the staff members then struck the patron in the face and broke the patron’s nose. The employee, a 49-year-old from Pennsville, was charged with Aggravated Assault and lodged in the Salem County Jail.

May 21: Officers responded to Amazon on Center Square Road for a Theft report. It was reported that someone broke the window to the victim’s vehicle, entered it and stole $20 cash and several credit cards. The incident is still being investigated as the one credit card was used during the report of this incident. Approx. value of the window is $150.

May 21: Officers responded to Amazon on Center Square Road for a second vehicle that had the window broken, but nothing appeared missing. Approx. value of the window is $150.

May 25: Officers responded to a High Hill Farms residence for a Theft report. It was reported that an aluminum ladder was stolen from the property. The ladder is valued at approx. $100.
