ADULT IN-PERSON PROGRAMMING:

Writer’s Roundtable – Tuesday, Aug. 17 – 6:30-8:30 – The Writers Roundtable is a forum for writers of all levels and genres to meet and get feedback on their work and give feedback to others. The only expectation is having a willingness to share your work, not always easy, and taking the time to read and discuss the work of the others in the group. Please register for this program. Meetings are held at the Mullica Hill Library, meeting room A&B.

Readers Roundtable 

Weekly on Thursday afternoons:  Thursdays, Aug. 5, 12, 19, & 26 – 4 p.m.

Grab & Go Bags for adults once-a-month. Stop in to pick up a “Grab and Go Bag” – one per adult. Enjoy simple crafts you can do at home! Supplies are included. First come, first serve, while supplies last. We would love for you to snap a photo of your finished crafts and share with us on our Instagram page.

CHILDREN’S VIRTUAL PROGRAMS 

Live Virtual Storytime with Miss Terri – Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy a fun and interactive event with stories and songs. Go to www.gcls.org, go to the classes/events tab, find this event and click to join!

IN-PERSON PROGRAMS

Special Author Storytime – Friday, Aug. 6 – 10:30 a.m. – Mullica Hill.  Join local author, Nancy Viau, as she reads Today is a Beach Day! We’ll sing songs, complete a craft, and enter a contest. All attendees get a free bookmark and coloring sheets. Ages 0-6. Limited seating due to social distancing rules. Please register each child individually. Masks are required for those who are not vaccinated.  Go to www.gcls.org to register.

August’s Challenge – Ages 4-12 – Aug. 2 through 31 – Can you create a new animal by mixing and matching different animal body parts. Stop in and have fun creating!

In-Person Reading with FURever as Friends – Sign up to read to one of our adorable therapy animals.  Each child will be given a ten to 15-minute slot. Confirm the dates on our virtual calendar and call the library where you want to visit to schedule an appointment.

CHILDREN’S TAKE HOME ACTIVITIES 

Summer Reading grab & go activities – stop in and check it out!

Take Home:  Read and Do Bags! Patrons can check out one bag per child at the Swedesboro Library. Each bag will contain 3 library books, a coloring page, and a simple craft you can do with your child at home. Different themes will be available while supplies last. Please be sure to bring your bag to the circulation desk for checkout.

Grab and Go Bags for children – Stop in to pick up a “Grab and Go Bag” – one per child. Enjoy simple crafts you can do at home! There will be a new craft each week. Supplies are included. First come, first serve, while supplies last.  

Storytime Kits – Once a month, pick up a storytime kit. Kits will include one free book, activities, and a craft. One per family while supplies last.
