Kings Things Distributes over 140 Christmas Baskets

SWEDESBORO — On Saturday, Dec. 18, Kings Things, with the help of dozens of Santa’s Elves, distributed over 140 Christmas baskets to needy families in our community. Everyone received Christmas dinner with all the fixings, food for the week, fresh fruit, a poinsettia, and toys for the children.

Swedesboro-Woolwich Schools, Logan Schools, The Goddard School in Logan, K-W Realty, the local Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops. and numerous others held food drives to enable Kings Things to continue this tradition.

Cheryl Serpiero, a teacher from Swedesboro-Woolwich School District, has been doing this for 14 years. Kings Things appreciates all of the support received from these groups for many years to keep this program going.

Kings Things would like to thank the many volunteers who picked up food donations, sorted and packed food and gifts, and delivered the Christmas baskets to our local families. This could not happen without them.

Special thanks goes to Father Kennedy from St. Clare of Assisi Parish for allowing them to take over the church hall for weeks to store all of the food and gifts and use it as the command post to sort, pack and deliver all the gift baskets.

There are many people to thank, but most of all, Kings Things Chairman Gerry Siglow would like to thank the community for supporting them for all these years.

Kings Things wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy 2022.
