Dragon Seniors of the Months

SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR DECEMBER

Molly Fitzpatrick, daughter of Colleen Fitzpatrick of Woolwich Township.

MOLLY FITZPATRICK

School Activities:  Molly has participated in the following:  Girls’ Soccer all four years, Golf freshman, sophomore, and junior years, Girls’ Basketball freshman year, STEM Academy all four years, Student Council all four years, SADD Club sophomore, junior, and senior years, Circle of Friends sophomore and junior years, Spark Club senior year, and Student Ambassador junior and senior years.

Out of School Activities:  Molly plays for Club Soccer for Player Development Academy and Rowan University Soccer Association.  She works at Pizza Villa, Jersey Girl Bar and Restaurant, and Mama Francesca’s.

Honors/Awards:  Molly’s honors and awards include Junior Class Vice President, Student Council Recording Secretary, National Honor Society Parliamentarian, Soccer Captain, Homecoming Court, and owner of the Dragon Den Instagram account.

Future Plans: Molly will be attending Rowan University to play soccer and major in education, where she plans to come back to Kingsway and be a physical education teacher.

Sarah Mower, daughter of Michael and Belynda Mower of Woolwich Township.

SARAH MOWER

School Activities:  All throughout high school, Sarah has been a member of Student Council, while serving on the Executive Board and further Corresponding Secretary of Student Council.  She is on the Executive Board of Student Ambassadors, along with the Executive Board of SADD Club.

Out of School Activities:  Sarah’s out-of-school activities include being part of the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute, where she is part of the Youth Advisor Council, which promotes leadership, alcohol, and drug prevention. Additionally, Sarah is part of True North Church and their youth group.

Honors/Awards:  This year, Sarah was able to make team captain of the Girls’ Tennis Team. Also, she is the Corresponding Secretary of Student Council, which has been another big part of her leadership at school. She is also part of World Language Honor Society and general National Honor Society.

Future Plans:  After graduation, Sarah will be attending Eastern University and majoring in Psychology. She plans to go into the mental health/medical field.

SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR JANUARY

Alex Manes, son of James Manes and Rebecca Grammer of Mount Royal.

ALEX MANES

School Activities:  Alex is a member of the Marching Band, Select Jazz Band, Volleyball, and STEM Student.

Out of School Activities:  Alex tutors and works out.

Honors/Awards:  Alex’s honors and awards include being the Trumpet Section Leader for Marching Band, Lead Trumpet for Select Jazz Band, Volleyball Captain, inducted into National Honor Society and World Language Honor Society, inducted into and elected President of Tri-Music Honor Society, and Vice President of Math Club.

Future Plans: Alex plans to pursue a degree in either economics, business, or actuarial science and would like to obtain a job for a large business.

Tyler Torres, son of Luis and Dawn Torres of Woolwich Township.

TYLER TORRES

School Activities:  Tyler is a member of the Student Council Executive Board, SADD Club, STEM student, and Kingsway Live.

Out of School Activities: Tyler is a member of the Teen Advisory Council for the Ronald McDonald House, South Jersey Rowing Club, and Student Fellow for the Alana O’Reilly Lab. at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Honors/Awards:  Tyler is President of the National Honor Society, College Board National Hispanic Recognition Program Award, College Board National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program Award.

Future Plans:  Tyler’s future plans are to attend a four year university, where he will study either neuroscience or biomedical engineering with plans to apply to medical school.
